The Daily Wire
The Daily Wire is an American conservative media company founded in 2015 by Ben Shapiro, Jeremy Boreing, and Caleb Robinson. Its own company history describes the outlet as a for-profit right-of-center media business built around distribution and marketing, launched with a reported $4.7 million initial investment from Farris Wilks.[1]
The company became closely associated with Shapiro's commentary and podcasting, while also building a subscription and advertising business around other conservative hosts and video programming. Shapiro's Daily Wire biography identifies him as the company's founding editor-in-chief and editor emeritus, as well as host of The Ben Shapiro Show.[2]
During the 2020s, The Daily Wire expanded beyond political commentary into streaming, films, commerce, and children's entertainment. Its Bentkey service is marketed as a streaming service for children and families, with original and curated programming distributed through mobile and television apps.[3] Axios reported in March 2025 that Boreing would step down from his co-CEO role to focus on creative projects, while Robinson would become sole CEO; the same report described Daily Wire+, Bentkey, entertainment, and e-commerce as parts of the company's wider expansion.[4] In May 2026, Barrett Media reported that Robinson had resigned as CEO and that Daily Wire president Mike Richards would succeed him.[5] The Hollywood Reporter subsequently described Richards as The Daily Wire's CEO.[6]
