Information the site handles

• Account information: email address, display name, password hash, verification and recovery state, and account timestamps.
• Public contributions: article text, edit summaries, challenges, responses, rulings, display names, and revision timestamps. Wiki contributions are designed to remain public and may be preserved in history and audit records.
• Technical information: IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or user-agent information, security events, and error logs needed to operate, secure, and diagnose the service.
• Session information: a necessary sign-in cookie used to keep registered users authenticated and protect account actions.

How information is used

Information is used to provide accounts and editing tools, attribute public contributions, prevent abuse, protect the service, resolve disputes, recover accounts, investigate errors, comply with lawful obligations, and improve site reliability. The site does not sell account information.

Google advertising

Mediated Wiki may use Google AdSense on eligible public pages. Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device or browser information, and page activity to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure ads. Ads are not loaded on editor-only source records, account and search utilities, thin pages, or the policy pages.

Sharing, retention, and security

Public contributions are shared publicly by design. Other information may be processed by hosting, email, security, and advertising providers only as needed to operate their services, or disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users and the site. Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, except that public revision and mediation histories may be retained as part of the permanent record.

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may browse without an account. You may request help with account data, privacy concerns, or removal of sensitive personal information through the contact page. A request to remove public contribution history may be limited by licensing, integrity, safety, or legal requirements.
