Heide is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Venray, and lies about 20 km east of Helmond.
The village was first mentioned between 1838 and 1857 as "de Heijde", and means cultivated heath.[2] Heide is located on the edge of the Peel region. In 1946, a temporary church was built. The building was replaced by a real church in 1965.[3]
