Bloom is an extinct town located in Otero County, Colorado, United States. The townsite is located at coordinates 37.6875°N 103.9566°W at an elevation of 4,800 feet (1,463 m).[2]
History
Bloom was originally known as Iron Spring. The Bloom, Colorado, post office operated from April 18, 1899, until May 31, 1938.[3][4] The community was named after Frank G. Bloom, a cattleman.[5]
